Asus X670E Gene EFI -- Adaptable to Other X670, X670E, B650 and B650E Boards

I tried and nothing change. I downloaded again the debug version and replace the OpenCore.efi unsuccessfully. It not registered nothing about IMMO. I triying to find a solution but it pretty wird.

Regard
We need to use the DEBUG build of OpenCore.efi. Download the DEBUG build from here.

When you unzip the package, just locate OpenCore.efi from here:

Screenshot 2023-12-11 at 8.10.16 AM.png

Rename your existing OpenCore.efi to something like OpenCore-RELEASE.efi, then copy this DEBUG version into the EFI partition (EFI/OC folder). Reboot and then MMIO entries should be present. Afterwards you may delete the debug OpenCore.efi and rename OpenCore-RELEASE.efi back to OpenCore.efi

Good news! In one of them there are MMIO logs. An this my current EFI. I replace all the filesof OpenCore debug version.

11 March 2023: OpenCore 0.9.0 EFI folder for Asus X670E Gene

Changes include:
  • OpenCore 0.9.0
  • All changes listed below for OC 0.8.9
  • Removed SSDT-I225V.aml because it's no longer needed
  • Added pre-release version of FeatureUnlock.kext 1.1.4 to enable Continuity Camera in Ventura
  • File to download: OC 090 for Asus X670E Gene.zip

Might I ask what are you using instead of the SSDT-I225V.aml? Is it AppleIntelI210Ethernet.kext?

AppleIntelI210Ethernet.kext is giving me an on Monterey.

Please see attached screenshot.

I believe we no longer need either the SSDT or the kext. Latest versions of Monterey (and Ventura and Sonoma) should support i225-V natively.

Okay, that's more like it. These are your MMIO values:
Code:
73:541 00:030 OCABC: MMIO devirt start
73:571 00:030 OCABC: MMIO devirt 0xE0000000 (0x10000 pages, 0x800000000000100D) skip 1

73:731 00:030 OCABC: MMIO devirt end, saved 557060 KB
73:761 00:030 OCABC: Only 128/256 slide values are usable!
73:792 00:030 OCABC: Valid slides - 128-255
I've added these to your config.plist and enabled only #2, which is what we typically do. Please try this config.plist.

We can also go back to Release versions of OpenCore files. This isn't urgent at this time, but we should go back to release mode when everything is working.

Hi. No luck, but this time it seem we went a little bit more ahead. One point, I have the USB stick made by Dortania method. https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/installer-guide/windows-install.html. "com.apple.recovery.boot". Should I create a usb stick from OSX with a full image? Could it be a different on it?
Please try the entire attached EFI folder. Just backup your existing EFI folder and copy this one in its place. Let's see how far this goes...

@Amdar check in your bios resize bar option
are you using latest bios? (if so revert to previous one because latest need a dsdt patch for now)

I believe we no longer need either the SSDT or the kext. Latest versions of Monterey (and Ventura and Sonoma) should support i225-V natively.
Just tried it without the i225-V SSDT and without the AppleIntelI210Ethernet kext. Working perfectly natively on macOS Monterey12.7.1.

I've upgraded to Sonoma over the weekend but went back to Monterey after a day — I've experiences reliability issues with the Intel Bluetooth. It sort of worked most of the type but it was very frustraiting — mouse and keyboard lost connections of regular basis ;)

I already check it, enable/disable option get the same result. The BIOS is the last one available into MSI site

My version of SSDT-EC did not work on your MSI board so I've reverted back to the previous one.

Please post your DSDT.aml -- if you are running debug version of OpenCore then simply use the attached config.plist. After getting to OpenCore boot menu, there will be a Sys Report folder in the root folder of the EFI partition. Inside that will be an ACPI sub-folder containing DSDT.aml and other files. Feel free to zip and post the entire Sys Report folder.

Interesting -- your board's DSDT does not contain an Embedded Controller device (EC), which we would expect to see under PCI0.SBRG. But that does not matter because macOS does not use it anyway. We create a dummy EC device, which the SSDT is doing.

It would be good to try these suggestions next:

Try this revised EFI folder, see if this helps.

It contains SSDT's and ACPI patches that were generated from your system DSDT.aml using Corpnewt's SSDTTime python script. So there shouldn't be any errors with the ACPI SSDT's.

There wasn't luck on it. I tried all steps one by one. You can find the logs.

No luck. You can find the info. The motherboard is MSI X670E PRO CARBON.
