I installed a Ryzen 9700 into a Asus Strix B650E-
F (latest BIOS) that was successfully booting Sequoia Beta 4. Using latest kexts, patches, etc. I was not really expecting it to boot on the first try and I was right. See screen shot attached. Has anyone else tried to Hackintosh a Ryzen 9000 series yet?

@x870eProartAsus users :)

Attached my EFI
It has a core count for 9950x and also an initial USB mapping
I will do it better when my broadcom wifi will come
For now all is working as usual
Only for sleep i have an instant wake and for now i will stay with it ;)

What Broadcom Wifi did you order?

Thanks to @fabiosun for the pointers in the right direction and sharing an example EFI, I have my old existing Ventura install now up and running on the Asus X870E Proart with the 9800X3D.

Quite a few changes from fabiosuns, some tweaks to Kexts, built my own USB Maps and edited some of the patches as well but finally booted and looking pretty good. Still a lot to test and make sure the USB maps are fully functional but so far looking very promising.

I'll post an EFI once finished and I get everything tidied up.

I don't think anything special required for the 9800X3D specifically, other than setting the values for 8 cores on algrey Force cpuid_cores patches, not much else changed than i'd expect. Probably not too much trouble as its single CCD only.

Some strange cosmetic stuff like reporting 0.405 Ghz in R23 - but definitely didn't affect performance - hit over 23,000! Very impressive for an 8 core. More to do... (like actually update to Sequoia too after everything is properly checked out)

This is a wellKnow OSX feature with CPU with greater base clock than 4300Mhz (your has 4700 Mhz)
check in about your mac and you should see 4.3 Ghz
Cinebench set the difference 4700-4300 in your case 0,405
7950x has a base clock of 4500 Mhz
i saw in about my mac 4300 and in cb 0,205

9950x ha a base clock of 4300 Mhz
and now OSX and Cinebench are happy :)

Ps. as you know only cosmetic thing

Hi fabiosun, have you ever made a test in the real world in Davinci for the rendering time, in comparison of an Apple silicon M4 max 40 GPU ?

If you have one to do i will happy to do
In the past i did comparing metal wirh best cuda GPU
And metal was always the winner

You are using my same EFI without adapting it for your hardware
1) check device properties, there i use a spoof for my gpu (you have different GPU does not need of it)
Also there i use some properties for my sata and nvme controller (this one could be the same also for you if you use all your sata and NVME slot as me :)

2) kernel patches are wrong , you have to adapt to your core count (i have 16 core you maybe 8)

3) my USB mapping could be not appropriate for you

Can I ask the setting bios this mobo for hackintosh? Thank you
load default value
then in my case system boots fine
i prefer then to disable
fast boot
Logo
set 1 the speed of something that default is 5
Aura
Serial/com (our proart has one :))

Also i optimize some things in curve shaper following this video (a bit of downvolt in my CPU)

I disable my IGPU from SSDT basic done by @Lorys89 but is it possible also to use separate SSDT (CPUR , USBX and so on)

thats all
PS i use always the latest bios available
