What are you using to test Thunderbolt?

are you using the Hero motherboard or the Creator? (or both, like me?)
I’m using the Creator. Tested using an external HDD and a 10g Ethernet to thunderbolt adapter from QNAP

so I canibalized my X570 Creator Time Machine NVME to test Thunderbolt on the X670E Hero and the results were excellent -- 2700 MB/s sequential read/write speeds.. not too shabby.

my next order of business is swapping out the 6900XTX in my X570 and putting it in my X670E hero build. the 665X0 will go into my X570 Creator.

I think I'm going to wait to populate the top NVME slot of the Hero until a PCI 5.0 NVME comes out.

have you guys noticed a hit in graphics performance between Monterey and Ventura on ATi 5000 and 6000 series graphics cards?

I have been too lazy to switch my 6900XTX from my Ventura build (5950X) to my Monterey build (7950X) to properly test. but i'm wondering what your experiences are.

Hello, everyone, I'm currently planning a hackintosh consisting of ryzen 7000.

I work as a sound designer for a game company, and I use Avid Protools.

After a lot of searching, Waves confirmed that it was resolved, but I couldn't find any writing that Protools was working properly. Is the Protools video engine running in Bigsur and Monterey?

(I understand that you use QuickTime Player.)

Hello @rexxver,

I can download and test the 30-day trial of Pro Tools from Avid's website. Because I'm not familiar with the app, feel free to:
  • Describe any specific tests to be run
  • Provide any sample Pro Tools project to check
Update: Software installed on Asus X670E Gene with Ryzen 7 7700X

If I'm not mistaken, the issue with ProTools and Ryzentoshes is the same as for Photoshop or Lightroom: Some AVX-512 accelerated functions do not correctly detect the processor abilities and fail or crash the software on Zen 3 and earlier. But Zen 4 has AVX-512.
The question is then: How do we test if AVX-512 works properly? Which test is known to crash ProTools on Zen 3?

If problem is this it is easily solved with AMDFriend script
Adobe photoshop with this has no problem at all and also camera tracking stabilizer and liquify option and all filters on adobe suite

Has someone tried to run Photoshop/Lightroom on a Zen 4 hackintosh without any software patches, AMDFriend or other?
