It looks like Mac users all over the interweb is currently seeing performance drops with their AMD Navi series cards,
in particular the 6800XT & 6900XT series after updating to the latest Monterey 12.3. Compared to 12.1/12.2 they are
seeing more than a 50% or even 90% drop in overall GPU performance of their cards. Playing WoW would see a drop
from typical 120fps down to 40fps, rendering times on Blender would be half as slow and the same goes for other
benchmarks such as Geekbench, which has seen a drop in GB5 score go from 170,000 to 100,000 or less. Video
encoding is also seeing a significant drop in performance, with reports that it seems hardware acceleration for the
cards have been seemingly disabled.

Apple wants you to fit a little M1 gobbin inside your fancy ITX hack-case :D

I have noticed the same - don't run benchmarks often and frankly do not know if its the best method to measure this, but checked it nevertheless and was shocked to see half the 6900 it's grunt has escaped in 12.3 as opposed to a previous run from May 2021. The whole experience is sluggish complete with artifacts on the wallpaper, I had no such complaints with 12.2.

This being my daily driver, yes I know I know - I do have an m1 mini to get me by if push comes to shove, I am considering wiping it clean and rolling back to 0.7.9 & 12.2 for now
