Ryzen 7000 Testing

The secure bit of the hack is what scares me the most about the OCLP hack.

I also assume you have to leave it off permanently bc the YouTube tutorial I saw does not mention anything about reenabling it.
I have enabled it after the updating procedure
It is mandatory to disable it again whn you have to relaunch OCLP after an OSX update

Firefox could not be started using just boot argument amfi=0x80, but installing AMFIPass.kext and using boot argument -amfipassbeta allows Firefox to run.
Yes, also some apps like Whatsapp and Dropbox need the combintation between kext and bootarg (to avoid for these apps amfi=0x80 bootarg)

ok. i have got my flasher now!
What firmware should i flash the titan ridge card with?
i found this online:

TitanRidgeMacOSFirmware.bin
TitanRidgeNVM23-Elias64Fr-Mod.bin
TitanRidgeNVM43-Elias64Fr-Mod.bin

i flashed the card with this firmware: DESIGNARE-Z390-NVM33-Elias64Fr.bin
and its working perfectly.

Damn! I thought this was working 🤣 because the devices was picked up by osx.

Testet a Thunderbolt ethernet adapter, no luck.

And there is no sound, and in Windows the tb3 card does not work at all.

I have connected the card to slot two, its not working at all in the third slot.

I dont know what to do next 😅
Tested with Thunderbolt 4 disabled in bios..

Maybe another firmware can work. Any tips @CaseySJ ? 🙂

Put back the original fw of the titan ridge

And let's try to fix hotplugs without fw flash

With the original firmware, the card is not working! It needs to be modded.

What's not working? In cold boot you didn't see the Device?

I can see the device, but not connected. Power error or something.
Do not remember.

And some errors in osx. See my earlier posts

If you put the original fw back on I can help you with some tests and hopefully make it go that way.

Thanks but the devices is seen in Windows on original firmware only.

I will do some tests here.

TitanRidgeNVM23-Elias64Fr-Mod.bin
In a my old system I have flashed by my self this one
I used a external case with a nvme disk connected to my titan ridge with windows installed
It was seen both on osx and in windows os
Community said always it was not possible (if flashed it does not work in
windows anymore)
For me it wasn’t true
Slot was the forth one in my msi trx40 board
No thunderbolt header in my case only the pin connected as the various guide said
The only problem I have had is usb related (osx did not see usb devices)

With which devices does the card work?

The card may not work with Ethernet devices on Ryzen because many of them require AppleVTD.

In Windows the card may or may not work. It just depends on the type of device.

At the moment i only have some ethernet devices and one Thunderbolt 2 soundcard to test with.

The devices is connected and i can see them in Mac os, but nothing works.

I can also see the soundcard connected and i can select it for my soundcard but no sound ( this card works perfectly on my MacBook m1).

I will try to figure this out today. Maybe there is something in the logs that can point me in right direction

Ok. I tested to re-flash the card with older nvm23.
See screenshots. Everything looks fine, and even if I change the input settings via Focusrite Control (I can hear the clicks on the card, so it has a connection).
But there is no sound at all.

When I test to use the sound via hdmi (monitor sound) it works.
Attached screen shots and my IOREG.
