Ryzen 7000 Testing

Who has amd expo certified ram?

Who has amd expo certified ram?
I have G.Skill Neo, which is AMD EXPO certified.

I have the vengance 32gb 6000, intel xmp version, and I have long boot times, from when I turn on to when I see asus logo.

** Nearly 50% reduction in boot time **

Time from Power-On to Asus-Logo
Before disabling Memory Retraining in BIOS38 seconds
After disabling Memory Retraining in BIOS20 seconds

Caution:
  • Try this experiment only if you have AMD EXPO certified memory
  • Also check for system stability afterwards
Details:
  • BIOS -> Advanced -> AMD CBS -> UMC Common Options -> DDR Options -> DDR Memory Features -> Memory Context Restore -> Disabled Enabled
Thanks to @Lorys89 for the suggestion

If set to enabled, it should reduce even more, but always test the stability of the system

My mistake -- I meant "enabled". Previous post has been corrected.

Could someone try Continuity Camera with the new commit of FeatureUnlock: https://github.com/acidanthera/FeatureUnlock/commit/0e8d87f1ab3890e4805f4852428e43cf639a6c0?

The AMD patches spoof the CPU to Intel 1st generation, Penryn, so this might fix the black screen.

Check the dmesg for the line that says patching Continuity Camera, if it's not there, we'll need to modify the code for AMD.
Yes it works!

After starting and stopping FaceTime two or three times, however, the iPhone camera fails to connect. This is remedied by logging out (Apple Menu -> Log out) and logging back in (don't have to reboot).

It looks as if your EFI folder has been copied-and-pasted from a different system. Please have a look at this post for guidance on creating a new EFI folder:

macOS Monterey and Ventura do not support "trim" on Samsung 970 Pro, so boot times can be high (30 seconds for some, 2 minutes or more for others). WD, Silicon Power, Kingston, Crucial, and other brands work well.

Also feel free to start a new thread under Installation -> Ventura (assuming Ventura is the target version) and we can help you there.
Ill repost in the Ventura installation field:

And yes this efi was originally with my R9 5600X and I updated the kernel patches to reflect the updated core count. I was hoping I could get away with doing that and updating kexts.

Ill start from scratch and see what happens.

I have G.Skill Neo, which is AMD EXPO certified.
I'm using the same kit. we got off to a rocky start, but it has been rock solid since I finished the build.

Guys. I got lack of performance of gaming on the new am5 system
Previous build using 11700k and the same rx6600xt , I got up to 100fps easily but on 7950x , sadly it couldn't pass over 40fps , same setting
Any ideas for this ?

I think this patch already in used.
Switch to iMacpro1,1 but nothing changes
I think you think bad :P
check to the right of this screenshot
default patches use Algrey one above the shaneee one
If so disable Algrey, enable Shaneee and test again your game! ;)
