macOS Sequoia

I re-uploaded it
In your EFI you have a series of Broadcom kexts loading before your core kexts such as Lilu, VirtualSMC and Whatevergreen. Those really should all load first but probably worked anyway. I disabled them and then changed Misc/ Security to Disabled which was probably the issue.

Unfortunately, no success! I've been trying it for a while. I'll update my working EFI (SONOMA) with the new patches etc. and try it again.

I assumed you already had updated the kernel patches so my bad, that's mandatory and then changing Misc/ Security to Disabled at a minimum.

I was able to test this EFI up to 14.6.1. It works well. Since I have a Broadcom card, I tried the new kext straight away. It boots under 14.6.1, but I get a black screen for at least 1-2 minutes and no WiFi. If I deactivate it, everything goes back to normal.I updated the Seqouia patch and the kexts are all debug versions. Only the apple appears and then it stops. It can only be something small. Can someone take another look... maybe the bootarg is wrong or is a kext causing the problem?

You didn't update the kernel patches properly, the Max Kernel value is still set to 23.99.99, which refers to Sonoma, and so will not load when trying to run Sequoia. That value should be 24.99.99 instead. You probably didn't download the beta version of the patches, you have to switch from "Master" to "Beta' on the github page.
Also I would suggest you add -v to your boot arguments so yo can see where it stops and then take a picture and post for more help

Do you have a link for me? I can only find the normal ones but no beta ones.

On the Vanilla AMD GitHub page on the left hand side there is a button that says “ Master”. Click on it and see in the drop down menu it says “Beta”. Click on that and download the patches.

First of all, thank you very much for your help.
I have added the patches again, but unfortunately it still hasn't worked. I don't know what to do next.

Did you also update kexts? Lilu, VirtualSMC etc? You've got the patches updated but you've not added your core count again.

Edit:

I've unlocked the Sequoia sub-forums. Please use these now for support. Keep this topic for discussion about Sequoia.

The other thing to remember with the patches, as a general comment, is to make sure you update your CPU core numbers to the 'algrey - Force cpuid_cores_per_package' patches, as per: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/AMD/zen.html#kernel

That's caught me out a couple of times when updating the patch list :) (EDIT: and, unbelievably having posted that, again this morning when installing Sequoia!!).

Hi mate, what do you mean when you refer to 'patches'?

Do you mean when you download new kexts, or are you referring to when making a fresh EFI or what?

Or is this something Sequoia specific and a new thing?

I just reuse my existing EFI and download the latest kexts/opencore each time I update, so I'm a bit confused right now as to why I'd need to add the core count when it's already in my existing EFI ala the same as it always has been on each update/macos version?

But knowing me, I'm just being thick or forgetting I did originally patch something last year when I built the hackintosh haha!

He is talking about the Kernel/ Patches you need to run macOS on an AMD machine. You adjust the core count depending on how many cores your processor has.... brain fart maybe?

When using the latest macOS Sequoia Beta 6/15.1 Beta/Pubilc, a gray interface with a prohibition symbol appears when booting up. The AMD kernel patch used is the latest beta version, which cannot be solved by OTA or clean installation. This is my EFI file. Could you please help me check what this problem is 🙏
Additionally, this article was translated from Chinese using Baidu Translate, which may result in some incorrect wording. My English is not very good 😂

The prohibited sign usually means the USB port you are using is not recognized, it could be something else but it's impossible to do anything but guess unless you provide a list of all your hardware. Please include the type of SSDs you are using as well

The configuration of my computer is:
CPU:AMD Ryzen 5 5600G (Blocked Core Graphis Card)
RAM:Kingston 16GB X2 DDR4 3200MHz
GPU:AMD Radeon RX 590
SSD:WD Blue SN570 1TB
Excuse me, is that what you mean? Machine translation may make mistakes.

Yes however you didn't list your motherboard or your wireless card. Is it a B550 variation? Your EFI is mash up so no real help until you finish clarifying your hardware.

And which Wifi Card? AMD for Intel? Either can be included.

I know Shaneee wants you to create another thread but see if this helps. Opencore, kexts and patches updated, all bluetooth and wireless kexts deleted
