Hello,

Let me first tell you what i have and then i discuss the problem

We have:
  • Gigabyte B550M SD3H
  • Processor: Ryzen 5 4500 6 Core
  • 64 RAM-memory
  • NVIDIA GTX 1070
  • We work with OpenCore
  • And we work with macOS High Sierra 10.13

And now i gonna explain the problem:

After we succesfully installed macOS High Sierra on our PC, we try to install NVIDIA. After we succesfully installed that, it began to give glitches. And we tried everything but whatever we do, it keeps giving glitches. Now is there anyone who has the right efi (with OpenCore of course) for the macOS High Sierra with NVIDIA GTX 1070 (that gave no glitches).

Everything else works fine, but we only have a problem with the NVIDIA GTX 1070.

If the OpenCore EFI boots High Sierra, then to problem is going to be with the version of the Nvidia Web Drivers you are using.

The Certificate for the Nvidia Web Drivers were revoked back in 2022. An alternative set of drivers were then released by Nvidia. You need to be using these alternate drivers for any chance of your GTX 1070 GPU working.

See this post over at Tonymacx86.

Okay, we've seen the link you just send me. If i download the zip, should i put it in my USB-stick or not?

Not.

It is a post install application for installing the third-party Nvidia Web Drivers. It is not part of the OS installation process.

Yes.

You need to uninstall the previous version of the Nvidia Web Drivers, reboot the system, reset NVRAM and then install these new drivers.

No. That was the last version of the Nvidia Web Drivers issued by Nvidia for macOS High Sierra.

There are no newer or alternative drivers.

I assume the following:
  1. You have WhateverGreen.kext installed in your OC setup.
  2. That you have disabled the Nvidia boot argument or Nvram entry you used in your config.plist, so the system would boot without the NVIDIA Drivers being present.
  3. You have updated High Sierra to the latest/last official release with all Security updates applied.

Can you send us your efi with a working NVIDIA GTX 1070 and macOS High Sierra? (If you have it, of course), so that we can try it if it works and gives no glitches.
p.s. we work with opencore.

No, I haven't been using High Sierra for a number of years. So I don't have an AMD EFI that would work for you.

Is there an other EFI what would work with NVIDIA GTX 1070 with opencore. For example a link in Github?
Everything works fine, High Sierra works fine, but maybe you could find it on Github, where they share other EFI's.

No. Search GitHub for a suitable EFI yourself.

I am happy to help people, but I don’t expect them to take the Micky.
