Asus X670E Gene EFI -- Adaptable to Other X670, X670E, B650 and B650E Boards

I installed Sequoia beta1(24A5264n), but I lost ethernet. Anyone else?

I added Sequoia beta pacth and boot-arg -lilubetaall and AppleIntelI210Ethernet.kext to 23.9.9. to the Sonoma’s config.
(Asus x670e gene with intel 2.5Gb ethernet)
macOS 15 sequoia-beta-1 is now all ok except for wifi.

So, here is my current EFI and I still have only BT under Ventura 13.6.4
After deleting suggested plists, Ethernet goes to en0 and Wifi section disappears (probably this records was from my old Fenvi card).
Also attached debug file, maybe it can help. Thank You!
Hi.. I have used the EFI you've attached and installed MacOS Ventura without any issue, but when I tried to install MacOS Sonoma 14.5, I got an error. Please find the attached screenshot and kindly help me to solve this issue. Thank you

Okay, I didn't want to assume you had the same board. You understand WIFI wasn't working for him, right? I've made several changes to update kexts and OpenCore, all bluetooth and wifi kexts are disabled because your RealtekRTL8852BE is not supported via Openintelwireless methods. Misc/ Security setting is disabled to allow installation of Sonoma.

Wifi is not working, but i am using a lan cable and that is enough for me. MacOS Sonoma 14.5 has been installed on my PC. Thank you very much for your help.

X670E GENE (Sequoia beta 8 ) BIOS up from 2204 to 2308 without any changes

@fabiosun,

Does this mean that the 3 ACPI patches provided by CorpNewt will allow macOS to boot on any of the new BIOS versions? 2204 and 2308 and others?

Or are these ACPI patches specific to a particular motherboard model?

Are they for Asus motherboards only?

@CaseySJ they are specific for motherboards
Asus motherboard could have some ACPI patches similar or rhe same

@CaseySJ Sorry for reviving and old thread but maybe you or someone else can give me some pointers!

I simply can not get my Ryzen 7800X3D + Gigabyte AORUS X670E to boot my (somewhat) old Sonoma install with any of the EFIs in this post. It starts but halts very rapidly.

Until recently I was running an old EFI I found from an ASrock system. It booted but did not run well. Trying to revivew/fix it I managed to bork it totally and now I am trying to find/create a new.

To get a bi further I used the EFI in post 30 that produces a bunch of SysReport files and a log. That is attached. If it can help anyone.

My system is:

Ryzen 7800X3D
Gigabyte X670E AORUS MASTER
32GB DDR5 Kingston FURY RAM
Radeon RX590 Nitro
Samsung 970NVE
Samsung 980 Pro NVE
+ A LOT of WD

I am on cabled ethernet and do not want wifi or BT. Or rather I would like to have BT but the built in AMD Wi-Fi 6E RZ616 is not supported in MacOS. At least not the last time I cheched.

If anyone can help it would be highly appreciated.

@JohnFante

Apologies for the very late reply. If this is still an issue, my first question is whether DSDT patches are needed for the Gigabyte X670E, particularly with recent BIOS updates. If so, have you applied any DSDT patches?

I was able to get a used 9950X for cheap.

I use as is the 7700 CPU cooler, I set the BIOS to ECO mode at 105W.
