    MSI x399 Carbon

Ok, no success so far. I upgraded to OC 0.8.4 and have tried to boot Ventura with the attached EFI. I have an MSI Carbon X399 board with an 2990WX cpu. I've tried iMacPro1,1 and MacPro7,1. The computer boots to the login screen then freezes and reboots. I have another computer exactly the...

    MSI x399 Carbon

Anybody out there have a working EFI for an MSI X399 Carbon with a 2990X threadripper? I can get the 2970 to work but the 2990 freezes and reboots at the login screen when using the same efi. The only difference is the adjusted core count in the kernel patches. Using OC 0.8.3.

    Magic Number?

I’m trying to install Ventura Beta onto an MSI X399 board using open core 0.8.3. I keep getting the following error when booting after the initial install. I’ve never seen this before. Any idea what it is? find_symbol: magic number doesn’t match

    Energy Saving Settings

Ok, I managed to get Ventura Beta 4 to install on an Asus X570-F board with Ryzen 5900X. I always set the energy saver to prevent computer from sleeping while display is off. But that setting is no longer available in energy saver, neither can you adjust the time before it sleeps. I checked my...

    Debugging

They are both Asrock Trx40 Creator boards, same bios version 1.70. I've attached my EFI and a screenshot of the verbose mode output during the kernel panic.

    Debugging

I used 20 in the core count since the 3970 is 32 core. Are you saying I should use 40?

    Debugging

I have two Asrock trx40 boards, one with the 3960 cpu, one with the 3970 cpu. The 3960 boots into monterey no problem. I took that efi, adjusted the core count in the kernel patches and used it in the 3970 machine. It starts to boot (in verbose mode), and i get a kernel panic and i see IONnvme...

    Debugging

I am familiar with verbose mode. What I am looking for is the feature that actually writes a text file to the root of EFI partition.

    Debugging

I’ve noticed some EFIs produce a text file that is useful for debugging. Can anyone tell me howbto turn this on? Thanks.

    Asrock TRX40 Creator

I have two Asrock TRX40 Creator motherboards. One with a 3960X installed Monterey no problem. The other one has a 3970X. I tried to install monterey using the same EFI, adjusting the core count in the kernel patches, but it freezes during boot. I installed Monterey onto WD black NVME drives...

    Upgrade Opencore

Can someone help me get a working efi for my setup? I am trying to upgrade opencore from 0.6.3 to 0.7.5 so I can try to install Monterey. [SUCCESS] Big Sur: Threadripper 3970X (32Core/64Threads) Asrock TRX40 Creator w/Thunderbolt 3

Any luck out there getting upgraded to Monterey? I’m using OC 0.7.5 and it works great big sur on my Asus Strix TRX40-e. But it wont upgrade. When i run the downloaded upgrade file it goes all the way through then goes in to a continual boot loop, never makes it to the installer.

    Asus Rog Strix TRX40

I’m starting to think that either this particular model of board (Asus Strix TRX40-e) or maybe the TRX40 chipset has some incompatibility with Monterey. I have three of these boards and I’ve tried various EFI folders. I can get Big Sur to boot on all of them problem. But they absolutely will...
