CPU:
Amd Athlon II in old laptop and Ryzen 3 7320U in my main one
Hello everyone,
I'm sorry if this is not the right place for this post but I'm new on this forum and in this macOS installing thing and everything.. I tried getting macOS High Sierra on my old Asus X52n (AMD Athlon II P320, AMD Integrated Graphics, 4GB DDR3 RAM) and i made bootable Clover USB and it boots no problem.. But it does not recognize macOS installer usb.. I made installer on other usb using Install macOS High Sierra app on macOS and used sudo createinstallmedia but in usb after its done USB displays only app, not installer files.. And even with that, in BIOS, USB with macOS is recognized but in Clover its not detected.. Can anyone help me to get it running?
- Here's few photos from Clover how it looks like.. (Sandisk USB was one with Clover and VendorCo is one with macOS)

I don’t think you will be able to use the AMD Vanilla guide with your old laptop. The Athlon II CPU isn’t supported with the native Kernel.

You may find an old patched kernel over at InsanelyMac that might boot and older version, such as Yosemite or Sierra.

So if i find an old kernel i would maybe have luck with installing like El Capitan on it?

Yes, an old patched kernel with the appropriate System.kext and you should be able to run an older version of macOS.

You should look in the AMD Development section over at InsanelyMac, for a guide.

I ran Snow Leopard up to Catalina on a similar old AMD CPU (amd turion ii neo ) using a number of patched kernels. Wasn’t always that easy, but it is more likely to work with a patched kernel than anything else.
