MSI 500 boards in many cases can't boot Monterey with newer BIOS revisions. With Zen 3 CPU you wouldn't be able to downgrade the BIOS to a working one as they are too old.
If you didn't have macOS already running I'd start with Big Sur, otherwise you might just get blocked by those Monterey issues without any chance to get it to work.

If you can upload the EFI as zip I'd have a quick look at it

Try this OpenCore 0.7.9 EFI Folder in place of your current one, as that is a bit of a mess.

Where does it show this? Post a photo of the Verbose text, assuming it produces any.

That may be caused by the SSDT-EC.aml not being set correctly.

So I have swapped the SSDT-EC.aml and SSDT-USBX.aml tables for a single 'Generic' SSDT-EC-USBX.aml table. I have updated the config to reflect this change in the attached EFI folder attached.

There are six (6) possible causes for the kernel panic you are seeing, as listed in the OC Troubleshooting guide linked below.

You need to check each cause and see if any need attention.

@Edhawk, Hi , I have same MSI MEG B550 UNIFY board, and a NvME SSD which has Big Sur 11.6.5 installed (I installed OS on a Intel H270 machine, leave EFI partition blank so I can try different EFI on a flash disk). I'v tried both of EFIs you uploaded, both stuck at like attached picture. Would you please give me some clues? Thank you!

@54thC , would you please share what you did with those uploaded EFI so that you can install Big Sur successfully? Thank you!

@adrianz which CPU are you using? Is it a 12-core CPU, as that is what the config.plist in EFI v2 is set to patch.

If you have an 8-core or 16-core CPU, then the first three AMD Patches in the Kernel section of the config.plist need to be edited to work with your CPU.

Another issue might arise if you have Enabled Above 4G Decoding in your Bios. If that is the case then you won't need the npci=0x2000 boot argument, which I added to the config.plist.

You will also need to use a different Serial Number, MLB, ROM and SystemUUID, if you are looking to use the EFI v2 attached in post #13.

Otherwise the EFI should be good for a B550 motherboard running macOS Big Sur.
