Hello,
I’m planning to set up a dual boot system with Windows and macOS on my custom-built PC. I will use Windows for gaming and other general purposes, while macOS will be used for graphic design work. Here are my specs:
Motherboard: MSI B650 Edge Wi-Fi
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
RAM: 32GB
Storage: 2.5TB SSD
Graphics Cards:
Primary: RTX 4070 (for Windows, gaming, etc.)
Secondary: RX 580 8GB (for macOS, graphic design, and Adobe applications)
My questions are:
1. Can I use the RTX 4070 for Windows and the RX 580 8GB for macOS without any compatibility issues?
2. Is the RX 580 fully supported on macOS (I will be using OpenCore bootloader)?
3. Are there any potential issues or things I should be aware of when using two different GPUs in a dual boot setup like this?
4. Do I need to make any specific BIOS changes to ensure smooth dual booting and GPU compatibility?
