Thanks, I swapped to Sequoia when I saw your post about that. I also tried running the installer from a SATA drive in my PC and had no luck with that. I have been using the USB 2.0 ports and they have still been dropping.

Trying that new EFI with MacOS Sequoia still stalled at the APPLEACPICPU... lines before all the cores/threads initialized. the start times were a lot faster though. Could it be that my hardware is just not compatible?
Thanks for all your help. on the first boot with the V4 EFI I got stuck at the thread registration of my cpu. after resetting the NVRAM a few times, I got the prohibited sign and it won't boot anymore.

I tried using the fixes you suggested and now my Installer is not getting to recovery anymore. I am failing early in the verbose output and getting into a boot loop with the system rebooting at the same spot during CPU initialization every time. the final 2 lines of the verbose code say...
Thanks for your response. I just tried removing all the other drives from my system and got stuck at the same spot. I have heard that it may have to do with MacOS not liking the uneven chiplet design of x3D CPUs but I am not sure if this is true. I just rebuilt the installer and am trying again...
