Go back to using the minimal EFI until you reach the Tahoe desktop. The icon name change doesn’t mean the installation is complete.

macOS lagging for the first few minutes after booting and logging in

Remove all entries, patches, kexts etc. for the Broadcom WiFi & Bluetooth devices from your OC EFI. Except BlueToolFixup.kext, which your Intel Bluetooth device will need. Make sure you don’t have AirportItlwm.kext installed as it won’t work. You need to use Itlwm.kext & the Heliport app for...

macOS lagging for the first few minutes after booting and logging in

You have a DeviceProperties entry for your Broadcom WiFi module in your config.plist. This is not recommended when using NootedRed.kext. You have kexts present and enabled in your setup for both Broadcom and Intel WiFi/BT cards. This shouldn’t be the case. As the two devices and their kexts...

Yes, you can replace the incompatible Realtek WiFi/BT card with an Intel or Broadcom card. https://dortania.github.io/Wireless-Buyers-Guide/types-of-wireless-card/m2.html https://openintelwireless.github.io/itlwm/Compat.html Each brand of supported WiFi/BT card requires different kexts and...

Success install but can't display login screen

Are you using the latest version of NootedRed.kext? Have you tried disabling the kext (as part of the installation process) to see if that helps to get you to the macOS desktop? You don’t need any additional boot arguments with your AMD IGPU, so remove any you have added.

Unsupported devices and some boot errors I don't khow?

You appear to have a problem with GenericUSBXHCI.kext, a parameter is set incorrectly according to the second image above. You probably have other issues in your OC EFI folder, which aren’t defined in the screen image. The first image is fairly normal for a Windows laptop that contains...

    [Sequoia | Ryzen 9 9950X + RX 6600 + X870-F] Boot stuck

When running or anticipating upgrading to Tahoe, it is best to use Corpnewt’s USBMap script. As it takes in to account the changes Apple made to the USB configurations for Tahoe. https://github.com/corpnewt/USBMap USBToolBox-Tool and UTBMap.kext don’t include the latest USB requirements for...

    [Sequoia | Ryzen 9 9950X + RX 6600 + X870-F] Boot stuck

The ‘Forbidden’ icon is usually caused by your USB ports not being configured correctly. You may need to use a different USB port for the installation drive. USB2 ports are usually the safest bet.

Solved macOS Sequoia 15.7.1 on GIGABYTE B450M DS3H, AMD Ryzen 5 1600, AMD Radeon RX 580 8 GB

What you need to do is keep your current Working EFI/USB in a safe and easy to find location. So you can revert back to it if you run into any issues booting your hack. Copying your OpenCore EFI folder to the EFI partition on your macOS boot drive is normal. You just need to be aware that the...

Hi, i Need Help, cant boot macos on ryzen 9700x and msi x870

@vampirevn you may want to use a different NVMe drive for macOS, as Samsung NVMe drives are known to have issues with Trim, when used as the boot drive for macOS. The Trim issue isn't immediately obvious as the deterioration of the drives speed etc. occurs over time. You can ignore this...

    macOS Tahoe

@genkey No idea what is causing the CPU panic, as we have no way of knowing which system you are using, or which components you have in the system... We are not mind readers! Also when attaching an EFI folder or other file please use .zip compression, as this is natively supported in macOS...

    [Sequoia | Ryzen 9 9950X + RX 6600 + X870-F] Boot stuck

Top line on these two screen images of the verbose text show you still have a suspect SSDT in your setup. I can’t tell which issue is causing the error, other there is an issue as stated in the message in the top line. Do you have ‘Above 4G Decoding’ enabled in your Bios? This is the...

    [Sequoia | Ryzen 9 9950X + RX 6600 + X870-F] Boot stuck

You have a couple of names in your SSDT’s that are wrong and can’t be found (G002) and (G027). You need to find which of the ACPI tables in your /EFI/OC/ACPI folder contains these two names and delete them/it from your OC setup.

Mapping the USB ports on your old AM3+ motherboard will be difficult, as it will be using older USB controllers. If I recall correctly it will use an AMD and an ASMedia USB controller. You may find that only the USB3 ports served by the ASMedia controller will work with any normal function in...
