Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to get macOS Sequoia running on my system and I’m stuck at a WindowServer crash. I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what’s going wrong. My specs: Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B650E-I Gaming WiFi (Mini-ITX), CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8GB, RAM: 32GB DDR5, Storage: Samsung Pro 990, OpenCore: 1.0.6, Target OS: macOS Sequoia 15. What I’ve done: I started with Edhawk’s B650E-F EFI as a base (thank you for sharing that!) and modified it for my setup. I removed the Broadcom WiFi kexts and OCLP related kexts, kept IOSkywalkFamily.kext, added WhateverGreen.kext, USBToolBox.kext and UTBMap.kext. I also generated custom SSDTs using SSDTTime from my own ACPI tables. The problem:MacOS boots very far into the verbose output — all services load correctly including storagekitd, iconservicesagent, accessibility services and more. But it always freezes at this point: failed lookup: name = com.apple.system.opendirectoryd, flags = 0x8, requestor = WindowServer[253], error = 3: No such processWindowServer consistently fails to start and the system freezes there every time. I’ve tried both DisplayPort and HDMI connections to the RX 580. I’ve tried adding/removing agdpmod=pikera and radpg=15 boot args. NVRAM has been reset multiple times. Current boot-args:-v debug=0x100 keepsyms=1 vsmcgen=1 -wegnoegpu radpg=15SMBIOS: MacPro7,1. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much, that fixed it!
Removing -wegnoegpu got me straight into recovery mode. However I’m now stuck on internet during installation. My board has the Intel I225-V with AppleIGC.kext (v1.4d1) the hackintosh gets a DHCP IP fine in recovery, but I cannot reach the gateway at all. I’ve tried internet sharing from a Linux Mint laptop and a Mac Mini 2011, manual iptables/dnsmasq, and static ARP entries on both sides. Every time DHCP works but ping to the gateway times out, and arping gets no response either. Is this a known issue with the I225-V in Sequoia recovery mode? Is a direct router connection the only fix, or is there something I’m missing to make internet sharing work? I don’t have home broadband right now so a direct router isn’t possible at the moment.
Thanks again!
