Is Bertie under the desk?.
No, he is lounging on the sofa in the front room with my wife.Is Bertie under the desk?.
Haven't even got my new case or the 7950x yet!@rhys , you can’t ignore me now!. Share with us, even if it’s just the 7950X in its box amongst the 3D printed parts and USB installers. Show us the desk!.
I love simple!, and I adore the two unruly cables poking out the back. That's a very nice case, very Mac Pro. You're the best!.
I’m all about messy desktops, it’s the reality of hackintosh/ryzentosh or just tosh!. Don’t be ashamed of chaotic cables, embrace the coffee stains. My setup. If I close my eyes, I can imagine my space being clean, minimal and no visible wires.

Maybe you can surmise, I am a Lenovo/Thinkpad fan. Underneath my second monitor is my old friend and my last laptop for a while, the Lenvo Thinkpad T400 (~14 yo). Upgrades: mSATA dual booting Windows 7 Pro & Arch Linux, 500gb Samsung Evo 940 SSD in the DVD bay slot for storage, 16GB RAM and upgraded the Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 processor to the Intel Core 2 Xtreme X9100 processor. One of the last generations of Thinkpads with socket processors. Every laptop now has soldered CPU's and RAM, no more upgrades.
For my system, the case is Phanteks 300A Mesh Edition with Noctua Redux NF-P14s 140mm Fans (x2) the front for intake, and Noctua NF-P12 120mm (x2) in the rear and on the top for exhaust. IBM RT3200 keyboard (10-keyless).
You're right, It definitely is the reality. Aesthetically, I ascribe to the minimalist approach design and I want my workspace to reflect. However, when you do actual work, your workspace reflects it. The way some of these youtubers "display" their workspaces and setups, there is no way their workspace are in that "state" all the time. I like seeing the cables going here and there and the workings spilled out, controlled chaos, YET I want them hidden and beyond sight as well. I want a Dr. Jekyll asthetic, but have a Mr. Hyde workspaceI’m all about messy desktops, it’s the reality of hackintosh/ryzentosh or just tosh!. Don’t be ashamed of chaotic cables, embrace the coffee stains.
You've got the ASUS ROG theme going on
Server central, huh!
Water cooled on the inside I presume?I love simple!, and I adore the two unruly cables poking out the back. That's a very nice case, very Mac Pro. You're the best!.
In another life I believe we'd be the same person, or married!. Anyway yes it does reflect the user and usage. I admit to tidying it up a couple of time but mess is preferred, (not sure spell check is right in that instance).Yes or No:
One's setup/workspace reflects the personality of the user.
Your workspace reminds me Linus Torvalds' workspace with the not used HDD's he keeps for security because he doesn't have time to shred themThis is my setup. My 11900K Z590I Vision D with RX6600 runs Monterey on the left screen and an old Lenovo Core i5 PC runs Windows on the right.
Below my left monitor I have a 2012 i5 Mac Mini Server and in front of that is my HP AMD M440 i7 Kaby Lake laptop. Just behind the monitor is an old
Cooler Master case which used to house my Catalina Z170N-WiFi system, which has recently been transferred over to a Jonsbo N1 as a NAS system.
