CPU:
Ryzen5950
I installed a Ryzen 9700 into a Asus Strix B650E-
F (latest BIOS) that was successfully booting Sequoia Beta 4. Using latest kexts, patches, etc. I was not really expecting it to boot on the first try and I was right. See screen shot attached. Has anyone else tried to Hackintosh a Ryzen 9000 series yet?

updated , same ACPI patches work well

@ssuper2k i saw some your test in Geekbench site (OSX and 9950x), there you could find mine
i wonder why you have less single core bench and i have worst multicore
Could you test it without AMDPower GAdget kext loaded and also in a stock condition for your Bios?
we are (maybe) the only ones to use OSX with this cpu and i would like to understand if it is Sonoma/Sequoia related or some kexts we use
I see there you had 96 Gb (2 di x 48 gb each or 4x24Gb?)
thank you
I see you have the same board and CPU, maybe we can export the Bios profiles and test them? (I'm not home till Friday, though)

I run 2x48GiB @ 6400, but on my i9 I have another 2x48 6400 sticks, and 4x on Ryzen won't boot past 5200, on 14900k I managed up to 6200 (4x)

What speed are you running your 4x48 on the AMD ? Which Bios?

I unmounted two dimms and i can push over 6400
With 4 dimms i can use witout overvolting on 4200
I stay to 3600 because in resl test with blender i have no gain using greater frequency

Mine did up to 5200MTs on 4x48

Can you export the Bios profile so I can test if I get the same on cb24?

I can export/upload mine, if you're intetested.

Damn those are some nice results. Tad jealous lol

Load default optimized setting
Disable fast boot
Disable aura
Search context and enable both
Then CO -10
CS low,med at -15
High -25
Nothing else

Your low single core result is for the kext you are using for amd powergadget
It happens also in my rig if i use it

This is without AMDRyzenCPUPowerManagement.kext. Better performance and cooler average temperatures....

@leesurone do you use curve optimizer and curve shaper setttings in bios?
If not you should try
With negative option you have better performances and low temperature

I used it with the 7950 but feel that is not needed now. Idle temps around 35C and yet to break 75C but still testing

Also here low temps
But with a bit of downvolt i have better benchmark and better temperature

Keep your kidney… (or at least get a Threadripper 7000 or EPYC system for the price)

I'm a single dad on a part time contract lol I'll get a 9000 series one day :D

I’ve been following this thread closely since I bought Ryzen 9700, 9900, and 9950. With the help of this forum, I have managed to successfully boot MacOS Sequoia on the 9700 and 9950. However, I have not been successful on the 9900. I installed it on an Asus Strix B650E-F (BIOS 3024) using the debug Opencore 1.0.2 from the latest nightly build. The EFI booted no problem with a Ryzen 7950. I changed the core count in the patches to reflect going from 16 to 12 cores, but no success. I’ve attached my EFI and a picture of the verbose output where it stops.

That version of OpenCore hasn't been merged with the changes @Shaneee requested but if you go here then you can download the updated version before they release the next update. You don't need the Debug version...

I am using aa6f402 and still having this problem. This exact same (except for core count) EFI works on the 9700 with the same motherboard so I am really stumped.

Have you followed latest BIOS thread for ASUS supporting new Incoming CPU?
It is weird if your 7950x boots with the newest BIOS of your motherboard because asus needs to patch some ACPI to boot in OSX with newer and older processors
