CPU:
Ryzen5950
I installed a Ryzen 9700 into a Asus Strix B650E-
F (latest BIOS) that was successfully booting Sequoia Beta 4. Using latest kexts, patches, etc. I was not really expecting it to boot on the first try and I was right. See screen shot attached. Has anyone else tried to Hackintosh a Ryzen 9000 series yet?

I was hardcoding 100Mhz FSB in the builds they tested. It still wouldn't boot I'm assuming because of the CoreFrequencyID and CoreDivisorID. These builds I'm posting now are attempting to calculate this as it does on 17h/19h. Although according to Linux source AMD Family 1Ah doesn't use CoreDivisorID.

I swapped back to the 7950x, and had to put OC 1.01 back, in order to be able to boot my macOS installations.

I have even updated my Sonoma to 14.7, and the Sequioia to RC, no issues with ryzen 7k.

I'm returning my 9950x tomorrow, maybe I'l update in a few months when all 9k issues are solved (and it also will be much cheaper)

Thanks!

Well done sir.

I should mention that they never left verbose though. Something else is stalling the boot. I'm unsure if it's the USB controller on the chip or something else as they had alot of verbose messages about USB.

Awesome :D Thanks for testing @ssuper2k Are you going to keep the 9950X now?

this seems a bit weird but i am very happy you have this working..today dealer as shipped mine..so i have to do nothing to have it working :)

AMD Power Gadget needs to be updated, as in Windows it hits 5750Mhz as peak
Similar speeds as the former cpu I had inside (7950x)
But 38k vs 46k, both topping @220w more or less

when you have time also a geekbench would be useful to compare with our "old" cpu
Also Cinebench R24 to see improvments and temps :)
by the way, thank you for your testing

CB 2024 was crashing on RAM 6600 BCLK 2200, had to drop to 6400/2133
Happened also in W11 (I just hadn't tested it thoroughly yet)
You Have only two dimm module i think
Otherwise your ram is insanely good🥹
Test in this condition also geekbench
It is less hungry than cinebench but can have problems with overclocked ram

4 dimms, 2 used. 6400 is just average
Works also @6600, but bclk 2200 needs more tunning.

Tested (2x24) 8000MTs and it worked, but latency didn't improve.
And tests showed that AMD just can't get advantage of going over 6600

Two dimms is simple to test if something goes wrong
i have 4 dimm fullfilled with 4 Module (48 Gb each) on Hero motherboard (Corsair 6400 kit)
i can push with my 7950x till 5200 but in that condition i have problem only with geekbench in a single test
i have seen no so much improvment so i prefer to leave them at stock values
When my 9950x arrives i will do some tests again
