When I began this journey I couldn't even get OpenCore to open, but I am now at the point where I can get past OpenCore and begin opening the BaseSystem.dmg for Sonoma. Unfortunately I have reached another road block, and I am unsure if this one is fixable. During the initial bootup of the .dmg file, the apple logo appears with a loading bar underneath. The bar loads incredibly slowly and always gets hung up by about 1/2 way through the loading bar. My system is a Ryzen 7900X based system running the Asus 650E-F gaming Wifi motherboard, with 32Gb G.Skill Flare X5 RAM. Unfortunately the roadblock in my plans seems to be the GTX 1080 that is in my PC. I have a Crucial P3 NVME SSD with 1TB Storage space. In order to get where I am I used this EFI file shared by user Andyxm715 located here: B650E-F EFI from Andyxm715

I am including my EFI file if anyone is available to help try to resolve this issue, or if there is nothing that can be done I would appreciate knowing that so that I can begin GPU shopping.
Also included is a photo of the screen my device gets hung-up on. If iGPU is able to run this with the dedicated GPU disabled, I'd love to know that I should begin working on that goal.

Thank you for anyone willing to assist, and thank you to the community members for making all of this possible.

Hello, unfortuantly neither your iGPU or 1080 will work on Sonoma. You'd need to use High Sierra for the Nvidia card or swap it out for a supported AMD card, a RX 6800 or RX 580 for example.

Thank you! I'll begin looking for a supported AMD card :)

Hi mate, if you want an easy cheap solution, a RX 570 4 or 8GB is a very cheap supported solution, or a RX 580 8GB, many on ebay :) That's what I started with, or a RX 6600 XT, 6700XT, 6800, 6800 XT, 6900 XT all work out of the box with just 1 thing added to your config :)

The RX 6700 XT requires NootRX.kext for it to work in macOS.

The other GPU's listed in the post above all work with WhateverGreen.kext.

Thank you both I am currently looking for a working 570 or 580 to get started for cheap!
