The only thing that I can then think of is:.
1. compile and add your SSDT-EC.aml in the ACPI folder and the config file
2. Try adding npci=0x2000 to your boot-args

Already checked it out and tried all the combinations.
I thought, maybe it is because of the USB stick (Kingston 32GB) but then I put the Catalina installer on it for a test, worked just fine.
I am now testing another USB stick and I will also try to get everything from the latest builds (nightly build etc).


EDIT: installer is working. I physically removed the windows and also the Catalina disk and now I am in the process of installing on a third disk (spare for experiments).

EDIT2: I got it working. Using the latest builds of VirtualSMC.kext, Lilu.kext, WEG.kext and OC 0.60.

I'm trying to install BigSur on my PC, opencore configured with all kexts, ACPI etc. Boot to installation and then freezes at the time the intallation starts, after I select installation drive. I'm not sure if my GPU RX570 is not compatible with BigSur and doesn't get hardware acceleration, seems that graphics are slow and not smooth.
On Catalina everything works good, with no extra mods other that the AMD usual ones

I doubt I'll be upgrading soon. I'll wait to the bugs are sorted out (as well as the sleep function on Catalina). I use Ubar, rather than rely on the dock
I own a Smartphone, which I doubt will benefit from the messages.
Otherwise, are there any reasons to upgrade?
