Over on the Discord, Dhinak said that Monterey can't be installed on AMD, will require patch changes. No ETA, they'll arrive when they arrive.

On Intel beta 1 works, multiple people on Reddit already tried (although I have not read the details).

Yeah patches are kicking us just now. Two people are working on them though.

I can confirm ease of install on my intel 9th gen laptop. Yet to try my X570.

I can also confirm no luck booting the installer with clover either. Get stuck here

It’s all part of the fun of having a AMD running MacOS.
@Shaneee you know you would of been disappointed if the patches just worked from the off. It just makes it even more super satisfying for you when you guys nail it down like I know you will.
Ive got my test bench on stand by waiting to fire up for 12.0 experimentation 😂

@AudioGod exactly but at the same time Apple barley changed the Big Sur kernel between versions which was nice.
At least we don’t need to wait on Apple releasing the xnu source anymore. That was horrible xD

The old days waitng for the public release version 10.X.3 or X.4 before the 10.X.1 kernel source release.
