Good Morning all, I am hoping someone can assist with the issue I am experiencing.

I was able to get sonoma 14.5 installed on my threadripper rig and found a workaround to get wifi and bluetooth to function.

However, I have had nothing but headaches with LAN trying to get it work with no success.

I have tried using both the release and debug versions of AppleIGB kext (which should have worked but no dice)
I have tried IntelMausi and my system does not like it one bit, makes the system unstable with repeated restarts at varying intervals.
I have tried AppleIntelI210Ethernet to no avail as well.

Regarding no dice, I would either get a case of the drivers refusing to load or the driver would load but then I get Self-Assigned IP to either both interfaces or the one that is plugged in.

Can anyone please advise on what I could/should do for a work around?

Have you thought about adding a PCIe Ethernet card to your system, one that works in Sonoma and Sequoia? You could then disable the builtin ports in your bios.

I use this NICGIGA (Realtek 2.5G) Ethernet card with Mieze's LucyRTL8125BEthernet kext in a number of my Hacks without any issues.

@Arrakis has the same Designare board
I do not remember if he solved this problem with internal ethernet ;)

I ended up giving up after testing all the proposed solutions.
The problem started with the latest versions of BigSur.
I disabled the Ethernet ports in the bios and added a USB-C to 2.5Gbps Ethernet adapter which I still use today.
