Hi everyone, I currently have bigsur and OpenCore well configured for a ryzen 2600. I want to change it to the 5600x. I think I would just have to change the processor and it would work fine. I think this since it is a processor with the same number of cores and I would not have to change anything in the kernel.

Am I correct or do I have to add some additional kext for being R5600x?

PS: The motherboard is compatible with r5600x (I just have to change the processor)

Thank you very much to all
Have a good day

As long as your bios is up to date it’s a straight swap with no changes to your config needed.

Should be fine to just swap. As you've said the core count is the same so nothing needs to change there.
