Because, I got the latest tahoe 26.3 working on my ASUS Zephyrus G14 2022.

Except....

I didn't. (the smirk slowly fades.....)

I used their latest release, that kept giving me the support.apple.com issue.

However, when I rebuilt using opencoreSimplify and copied over the Quirks, ACPI's and patches. I was surprised to find a working build..
Except...

THE FREAKING KEYBOARD. Worst part is... It kinda works.

I'll really hoping I get this solved.. I'll be honest and say I'm not at the editing SSDT's level yet (mainly due to lack of time). So I hope the fix is easier.

Keyboard on that Asus laptop normally requires Voodooi2c.kext and Voodooi2cHID.kext version 2.9 added support for AMD keyboard and trackpads.

I tried it with all sorts of combinations. If you download the EFI from release page---the main repo isn't updated---I mentioned above, it will include VoodooI2C and VooDooPS2 as well (Although, it works fine without any PS2 kexts)
My keyboard works. But there's some horrible issue with the polling.

I went to Settings -> Keyboard -> Repeat Key Duration -> None (or something similar)

So now, atleast I don't get repeated text. However, the time between pressing a key and keyUp() registering are horrid. It also blocks the next keyDown() input...
I can attach my EFI with my serials removed, if you need it.

I've been cracking my head over this.

Only 2 Kexts that seem even slightly out of place are: Innie.kext and AMFIPass.kext

I have a few custom ACPI's though, from the above github repo

There's is a boot argument used by others to fix the Polling issue. -vi2c-force-polling

Neither of those two kexts are out of place. They are both worth using, if you know what they do.

Did you create the custom SSDT's using your system ACPI tables and Corpnewt's SSDTTime? If not they may not be exactly correct for your system, as the GitHub repository may contain SSDT's from a system with a different Bios.

-vi2c-force-polling doesn't work for me.

The SSDT's were created with a different BIOS version 312. I'm on 319. That makes sense.

Is there a specific reason my OS boots up fine? While just my keyboard is being affected? Seems like I'd run into much more system instability than I am. (I haven't used it for long though)

Is there a way to isolate keyboard related issues in SSDT's so I can look into this with a minimal time commitment?

I really need Xcode to debug issues I'm facing. And this keyboard issue just won't cut it. I can handle a little system instability, though.

-vi2c-force-polling is what I had in my OC EFI for my now dead Asus G14 laptop.

No.

Try using a USB keyboard/mouse combo (wired or wireless) until you get your laptop keyboard fixed. That is what I had to do.
