Good Afternoon I am attempting to create my first AMD hackintosh with OpenCore (albeit with minimal success so far) - I have created many Clover based Hackintoshes in the past (10.6.8, 10.7, 10.8.5, 10.10, 10.13)
I have followed the standard guide but get a kernel panic before entering the actual installer - would love to get some eyes this so please let me know what files I would need to attach
You need to add AppleMCEReporterDisabler.kext to your /EFI/OCKexts folder and config.plist to have any chance of booting to the installer. This is an essential kext for AMD systems.
UTBMap.kext does nothing without USBToolBox.kext. You need to add USBToolBox.kext to your /EFI/OCKexts folder and config.plist for your custom USB configuration to work in macOS.
Your ASRock motherboard contains the Realtek Dragon RTL8125BG Ethernet controller. So having AppleIntelE1000e.kext in your /EFI/OC/Kexts folder won't work with your Ethernet connection. If I recall correctly there was some issue getting this newer version Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet controller working in macOS. Your best bet is to try using Mieze's LucyRTL8125Ethernet.kext attached below.
You need to set Misc > Security > SecureBootModel to 'Disabled' not leave it as 'Default'. Use the word - Disabled
I also have an Intel Gigabit CT card mostly for the better support in OpenBSD and FreeBSD (Hence the intel kext)- I realized tonight that I needed those other kexts (and needed to use the two generic UTB kext first) in addition to doing some MMIO whitelising and I am currently running the installer from recovery -
So a successful install - as expected the applee1000 kext for the intel gigabit CT is not super stable - appears that networking issues even were affecting "real Mac" owners - might run a second cable from the switch to the Realtek for a sort of 'Fail Over' -- again thanks to this community for providing lots of tips getting through what is a better, but more complicated setup then it was years ago with Clover and Intel -
