Reading the parts lists to avoid... I'm intrigued seeing Gigabyte on the list.

I've seen a few builds with X570 Gigabytes etc... what's the deal? Is the KASLR fix still needed/difficult?

That list is for Intel chipsets. I have a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master and it's working fine for me. A number of others here do too.

Depends on how perfect you want to go. Usually you can get it to run decently with just EC fix and USB mapping.
