Which X870 motherboard has the best Ryzentosh compatibility?

Most USB to ethernet adapters work natively, I bought this one a couple years ago and it worked fine. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KWC7D78?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_13&th=1

Which X870 motherboard has the best Ryzentosh compatibility?

I don't believe that has been solved, Mieze who crafted the original kext has said it would take a complete rewrite. The current work around is an add in supported Pcie ethernet card, there are several options, or use a USB to Ethernet adapter.

    OCLP

I'm not sure where you are seeing Monterey but in the screen shot you uploaded it says it is Determining required patch set for Darwin 24 which is what Sequoia uses.

Which X870 motherboard has the best Ryzentosh compatibility?

Hi @Reigen welcome to the forum. The X870 boards are all very similar in terms of overall compatibility. Unfortunately if the board has the newer Wifi 7/ Bluetooth M2 card, like the Asus board you are interested in, neither will work. The only fix is to replace the onboard card or add a Pcie...

ryzen 7 9700x sequoia installation disaster

Not a lot of information provided in your post....the one issue I can identify from your build description is that AM5 iGPUs are not supported in macOS. There is no fix for that, if you are serous about running it you should look into a supported AMD graphics card...

impossible to install sequoia on my ryzentosh

Hello @19MORPH69 The first thing that stands out is you haven't updated the kernel patches that support Sequoia, the older version you are using is fine for Sonoma.

AMD Ryzen 7 7700X GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE AX

Your EFI is missing so many things including the correct core counts in, Mmiowhitelist values etc it's basically a nonstarter. This post here will get you a lot closer https://forum.amd-osx.com/threads/i-cant-install-ryzen-7-7700-gigabyte-b650m-sh2-ventura.4773/post-34648

Partially resolved ! I'm stuck trying to install macOS Sequoia on GA-AB350-Gaming, Ryzen 7 2700X, Radeon RX 550

If you really have an intel i7-7700 processor his EFI is not going to help you, completely different hardware setup. If instead you mean you have some kind of AMD processor and are trying to use your Nvidia GTX1060 card for video that's another issue. Unless you want to try your hand at OCLP...

I need to help with and install issue with Ryzen 9 9900x

As far as I know those issues with the 9900X were never resolved, he was never able to get it working even more recently on another hackintosh site. It could be a deadend CPU choice for unknown reasons

I need to help with and install issue with Ryzen 9 9900x

I can see a few issues that all I'll be able to do is point out, in the config.plist under the Booter/ MmioWhitelist section you have no entries and that alone is enough to cause the system to halt. Different manufacturers boards require different values, Asus vs Gigabyte always seem to be...

help a newbie install mac os sequoia

That's a cheaper way to go for sure. Personally I rarely recommend OCLP, not that it isn't a valid and excellent utility, only because so many users struggle to get it setup for what ever reason.

help a newbie install mac os sequoia

Hello @SpringCat Unfortunately your GPU is going to limit your ability to run macOS and your CPU does not have graphics capability.. If you are running Big Sur it will be without Graphics Acceleration which is a very poor user experience. Your best option would be to buy a supported AMD...

it reboots after a while of no input.

Okay, then I would suggest searching for how to use USBToolBox or USBMapMaster. Both can help you map ports but typically the results are not perfect and still require some tweaking. You can probably get some additional help here on the final result...

    Problem with installation

Hi @xt3nzy your comment " but a new disk called install macos appeared, I booted through it and everything was installed" is normal although if it crashed that isn't. Normally it just reboots two or three times before install completes and after the first reboot it needs to start up again form...

it reboots after a while of no input.

Hello @KenSysOp have you taken the time to correctly map your USB ports? What you are describing is a very, very common behavior when that hasn't been done or done incorrectly. I can't tell you how many posts there are here and on other hackintosh sites describing the exact same thing. This is...

Please help me, I need your help!

Your hardware is fine but you’ll need a supported AMD graphics card to be able to use macOS being the iGPU on the AM5 processors is unsupported. It’s just not worth trying until you get a supported GPU
