so seems we both have the case front usb ports not working, I have the same behavior you have, when i insert a usb stick or device in one of the case front ports usb stick lights up but nothing else... anybody willing to help? thanks

Have you mapped and tested both the USB headers on your motherboard? I have a X670 Aorus as well and I have a similar problem using usbtoolbox, I miss the front 2 x USB 3 ports, they work under windows but never worked with macOS.

@Mac Arthur your bios is very old and is missing many improvements and security fixes, you are running on F4 while the latest stable is F23 I suggest you to update, the update will eventually update the onboard devices uefi drivers as well. You can download F23 here: DOWNLOAD F23
