After some effort I have succesfully managed to update my rig from Sequoia to Tahoe (by clean installing Tahoe). The details of my rig are in my signature.

I have working wifi via heliport and itwlm
I have working sound via VoodooHDA
I have working bluetooth
I have working USB ports

All seems to be working fine and fast. The only thing I could not manage to do is to make AMD Power Gadget to work. I get an error message everytime it loads as if I don't have the necessary kexts installed, (but I do). See the attached last pic.(SOLVED. see post #7)

Please post your EFI AMD Power Gadget hasn't been updated in sometime.

Please see attached.
Ofcourse I erased MLB, Serial Number, System UUID and ROM entries.

Also the AMD power gadget kexts are missing as I deleted them since they were not working (but were the latest ones available).

I was wrong, AMD power gadget is working on mine, the only difference I see is expose sensitive data I have set to 10. Give this a shot.

Unfortunately, it did not work. Thanks anyway.

Ok, it is not so important since everything else works fine. It was just a nice thing to have.

Just to check, I just place the two kexts (AMDRyzenCPUPowerManagement, SMCAMDProcessor) inside the kexts folder, update the config plist, and install the AMD.Power.Gadget app (and reboot). Is there anything else I should be doing...?

I fixed it !!
The problem was with the placement/order of the Kexts. They had to be moved lower in the list and above the GPU sensor kexts. I found out because I used propertree to do the OC snapshot and I got a message that the placement of the radeonsmc kext had to be corrected.

All Ok now. I also changed the expose sensitive data to 10 in order to get the motherboard details in the app.
Many thanks for your help!

Here you go. Mind you, I erased MLB, Serial Number, System UUID and ROM entries from PlatformInfo section.

NootRX.kext isn't as mature as WhateverGreen.kext, so not all the graphics issues you might encounter in macOS aren't fixed in the newer kext. You are generally better served using WhateverGreen.kext when using a natively compatible AMD GPU, such as the RX 6600 XT/RX 6800 XT/RX 6900 XT or any of the '50' variants.

NootRX.kext in my opinion, is best for use with an RX 6700 XT or RX 6750 XT which isn't supported by WhateverGreen.kext. There was a time when the kext developer was looking to add support for other natively incompatible AMD dGPU's. But I think that option has been shelved, as there has been no movement on those actions for the past couple of years.

With NootRX kext I was getting a black screen when trying to watch a movie/series in apple TV.

Like I said it isn’t as well groomed as WhateverGreen and still has a number of issues in macOS. So using NootRX with a natively compatible AMD GPU isn’t the best solution.

Has anyone managed to get the Intel HD 4400 iGPU working on macOS tahoe?

Not on this site, as it is aimed primarily at AMD systems.

The HD 4400 Intel IGPU will natively work with macOs up to Monterey. For anything newer you need to use OpenCore Legacy Patcher. However, you are probably trying to stretch that old Haswell CPU and IGPU beyond its capabilities as far as macOS goes.

Most users on other Hackintosh sites using a Haswell system have added a discrete AMD GPU to remove the HD 4400/4600 IGPU limitations. The guides I participate in for Haswell Dell Optiplex systems (on other sites) all stopped being updated when Tahoe was released.

If you search on Github you may find an EFI that claims to work with a Haswell Hackintosh on Tahoe.

Again, you are asking this question on the wrong site. Ask the same question on InsanelyMac or Tonymacx86 and you may get a better answer.

However, I doubt anyone over at Tonymacx86 has done what you are asking, at least I have not read any posts of that nature. The posts I have seen regarding the Forked OCLP release have been related to Broadcom & Intel WiFi issue/fixes, not graphics related.

Molto gentile
