Hi @CaseySJ .Couple of preliminary questions:
- Are you using the latest AMD-OSX kernel patches from here?
- Are you using OpenCore 1.0.5 and the latest kexts?
Yeah.. Same EFI and Runs great in Sequoia. If Sequoia runs perfectly, that is a good sign. It means we don’t have to worry about DSDT patches and MMIO whitelist. Incidentally, does Sequoia boot using the same EFI folder that you’re using to install Tahoe?
Which System Product Name are you using? iMacPro1,1 or MacPro7,1?
I’ll audit your EFI once it’s posted.
@CaseySJ .Please try using the attached config.plist
I’ve already tried with CorpNewt’s USBMap (the latest script for Tahoe) — I even still have the usbmap.kext saved.I noticed that your USB is using USBToolBox instead of USBMap by CorpNewt. It would be advisable to rebuild the USB map. Tahoe is very particular about USB mapping.
@CaseySJ Maybe I messed something up in the mapping (though I don't think I did). Either way, Casey, thanks a lot for your help. Maybe once the Tahoe is officially released, the kexts will get updated and my issue will be resolved. In the EFI folder you posted above, I did not see CorpNewt’s USB Map. I did see two USB kexts, both from USBToolBox.
1 - I'm trying to install using a USB drive that contains the "com.apple.recovery.boot" folder with the BaseSystem.dmg and BaseSystem.chunklist files. But I've also tried downloading the Tahoe installer through Sequoia -> System Settings -> General -> Software Update. Some quick questions:
- Did you create a USB install disk or did you download the Tahoe installer from Sequoia -> System Settings -> General -> Software Update?
- Either option is fine, but I’d like to know which one we’re dealing with
- Did you download the official release of OpenCore 1.0.5 from GitHub (not from Dortania)?
I tried the EFI you sent:Please try booting both (a) Sequoia and (b) Tahoe Installer using the attached EFI folder without any modifications.
AppleIGC sometimes works and then stops, and sometimes it doesn’t work at all. It’s been pretty problematic for me. I decided to buy an RTL8125, and that 'fixed' it.Hmm, Asus website says this board has an Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet port so AppleIGC should have worked in Sequoia. I disabled both the RealtekRtL8125 driver and AppleIntelEthenet. I also commented out the various device properties.
Running out of ideas now…
