Hi,

This may be off topic because this is an AMD thread but it looks like this is the most complete guide for installing opencores and MacOS, so I will try to ask my question here.

So, my setup: I have a windows 10 laptop with i7-1068NG7.
And I want to run MacOS Sequoia in VMware Pro 17.5.2.
I have created an ISO image and installed the Sequoia in Virtual Machine.
But now I am facing the issue that I can't login into my Apple account.
I understand that I probably need opencores to apply the VMHide patch, so I am going to delete my install and start from scratch.


So, please help me to clarify the main question:
Can I use the attached .vmdk images for my intel Win10 Host?
If the answer is no, how can I create it for the Windows 10 Intel host?

I am trying to follow this guide on the intel machine (Mobile Core i7 "Ice Lake" (I7-1068NG7))
And this is the error what I get when I try to run install of Somona ISO:

What should I chnage/remove from opencore to boot intel? I have the .vmdk mounted on my old Monterey machine.
 
Do not use this guide to install a macOS VM on an intel system. The vmx setup will be completely wrong for your Ice Lake system.

You can install macOS (bare metal) using this Dortania Ice Lake Laptop guide.


If you really need macOS as a VM, use Google to search for an Intel VM Guide.
 
Yep, I understand that I am in the off topic here, but all my Google skills so far are not so useful, I was thinking to use one of the .vmdks and fix it for Intel config.
So, any help will be appreciated...

This guide can help you in a much easier way to get a hacktintosh in vmware for Intel.

The vmdk file is a pre-installed Sequoia disk image file, so it's a bit large.

It's not that complicated, just add it to VMWare as instructed.

The biggest problem is Google's daily download quota for these large files. The File Sharing link is sold out for free users.

I got it here from the google drive link.

I just had to patch VMWare to allow it to create a macOS 14 virtual machine and I just added a SATA drive from an existing vmdk file, which in this case is this downloaded file.

On the first boot VMWaare already logged in to macOS. The password is 0904

I modified the vmdk made for AMD in my tutorial to work with Intel and it works.

This version contains Opencore with VMHide.kext for logging into the Apple Store and iCloud.

I've also tested it only with the image from the techrechar site I mentioned earlier.

I will test with ISO image in the AMD Tutorial post now using this vmdk for Intel and you can test just use this vmdk.

EDIT:

Tested another Intel Machine and works with another ISO installation used in my tutorial to AMD.
