Hello fellow tech enthusiasts and macOS enthusiasts,

my custom-built PC featuring an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X processor and an NVIDIA GTX 1060 graphics card. I understand this isn't a straightforward process due to the hardware incompatibility issues between macOS and AMD/NVIDIA components, but I'm eager to give it a shot and see if I can make it work.

My Current Setup:

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GTX 1060
  • Motherboard: (Assuming a compatible AM4 board, but specifics can be provided if needed)
  • RAM: 16GB DDR4
  • Storage: 500GB NVMe SSD (with additional HDD for data)
I'm excited about the prospect of running macOS on my PC, and I'm hoping the community here can help me navigate this challenging yet rewarding process. Any advice, guides, or links to resources would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance!

Hello @aa1806068318 Your NVIDIA GTX 1060 card is only supported up to High Sierra using the Nvidia Web drivers. Here are a couple of links where you can read more but honestly the best advise is buy a supported AMD card.

Thank you for the suggestion about purchasing an AMD card. However, at this moment, I'm looking for a solution that would allow me to use my current NVIDIA GTX 1060 card for debugging Flutter applications, as the latest Flutter SDK requires macOS Big Sur or later. Is there any workaround or alternative method that you could recommend to achieve this compatibility with my current setup

Actually, I've already installed Big Sur on a virtual machine. The main issue I'm facing is that when I check the hardware information, it shows an unknown CPU and a graphics processor with 128MB of memory, and the performance is extremely sluggish. I'm seeking solutions to address these issues.

Not that I am aware of no

As already explained your GTX 1060 is a dead end as far as macOS is concerned. You are limited to High Sierra if you don’t swap it out for a compatible AMD GPU.

Asking the same question in multiple posts won’t change this answer.
