Dam, That won’t do. Stupid Intel ethernet port…
Fingers crossed for beta 10 bringing the smalltree kext back to life in that case but I very much doubt that will be the case. We will need a proper replacement or fix on the smalltree kext Me thinks.

i am not usually using the sleep mode for my pc so its a no big deal for me, as long as this appleigb does not make a connection drop outs.
yeah looking forward on the beta10 and hopefully that smalltree will work again

Your lucky, When I think about things like this I don’t think about myself I think as a whole for everybody so generally it breaking via sleep is a deal breaker. For myself I have 2 ethernet ports and use my Realtek 2.5gb port as my primary port and my intel port is disabled so I couldn’t care less for myself as it has no effect on me…lol

i guess you're the lucky one, i have only this i211 port my mini-itx board, if anytthing goes bad for ethernet i have only the wifi

i got some speedtest results with different speeds settings at manual config:
100baseTX, half-duplex : DL = 43; UL = 14.6
100baseTX, full-duplex: DL 50; UL = 58/xx
1000baseT: DL = 117/118 ; UL = 58.9/59 , MTU- std 1500 and Jumbo 9000 yield same response.

so i guess, i can stick for this kext for awhile.
while hopeful for the smalltree to came alive on beta10

note: the readings above based on my internet plan

@elixir I’m on an ITX too, I switched to an USB-to-Ethernet dongle for good because I anyway upgraded my network to 5/10Gb/s Ethernet.
There are some options that work well with macOS.

probably gonna get official monterey on Oct 18 lol (at least a release note??

AppleIGB works for 1-2 minutes at a time on mine then i have to change some settings to get another 1-2 minutes. Really wished I had looked up the issue with Smalltree before upgrading . Hopefully something will come out soon to fix this.
