Direct update to 12.0 from 11.6

Hello, does anyone tried to direct update from big sur using the official updater? I have 0.7.3 running fine with 11.6 but the upgrade keeps looping/restarting....

Edit: i tried EFI from Shanee and still have the same symptom....and the new EFI also works find under 11.6

Yes it works but you may need to set your SecureBootModel to Default and use the latest version of RestrictEvents from here, https://github.com/dortania/build-r...ents-2430ed0/RestrictEvents-1.0.5-RELEASE.zip

I did a quick test and still the same issue.

My rig is 3600+Aorus B450i iMacPro1,1. is there any other catch here?

I disabled SetupVirtualMap for my b450, and set SecureBootModel to Default already.

Are your kexts updated? I may be that you're using a version of Lilu etc that isn't updated for 12.x. The current versions should be.

Yes i updated them all today and my EFI is attached here

i can't remember how to save the verbose log. could you remind me what's the argument i should use? as the system keeps restarting, i don't get a chance to take a photo even lol

I made it work with 0.7.4. Maybe its oc 0.7.3 problem @AudioGod mentioned in your main post..........

Stuck with this after updating from 11.6 to 12.0.1 OC0.7.4. Haven’t had any issues in 11.6

finally booted to monterey and then restarted. But now aftee selecting the drive from the boot picker. Its bootlooping back to MSI LOGO and then OC picker
