Solved [Xcode] How to connect to AppleTV WIFI only

I have a newly installed VM and just installed Xcode. I now want to connect Xcode with my old AppleTV, that only supports WIFI (no USB). But the device is not showing up under "Devices". I suspect the reason is because the VM gets assigned an IP in a different subnet, which prevents the devices from getting detected, not sure though.

Could somebody perhaps point me in the right direction? Should I start tinkering with VM network bridging settings?

Great. I always use VMWare this way, without replicating the network state, to assign another IP in the same range as the local network.
