Why MacOS only support such a limited range of hardware

MacOS once supported all NV GPU but now it doesn't. MacOS only supports a limited GPUs which is not the mainstream GPU. It supports AMD's GPU but it doesn't support AMD's iGPU. MacOS's limited hardware support precludes most of the PC from installing MacOS. Would these issues be resolved in the future? Or the hackintosh community is going to die?

macOS only needs to support the hardware they used in the Mac lineup. No sense adding support for something they'll never use. A lot of the AMD cards share characteristics meaning the support one card they might as well add a couple similar cards in too incase the end user upgrades etc. As for Nvidia, they used to have a partner deal of a sort. Nvidia wrote the drivers for it, Apple signed off on it and you were able to run a Nvidia GPU. They fell out though hence why you can't use Nvidia on modern macOS systems. That's my two cents anyway.

What's the problem of " Nvidia wrote the drivers for it, Apple signed off on it and you were able to run a Nvidia GPU. "?
