One of the secret key to my successful installation is using a pair of matched Unlocker + VMWare Player. In my case, they are Unlocker v3.0.6 + VMWare Player v17.0.1. If you patch a wrong VMWare Player version, macOS installer can see through your trick and will show an alert logo and halt your CPU.
