USB audio stutters

I don’t have a working internal sound card, so I’m using an Aiyima A2 DAC with my speakers connected to it. For headphones, I’ve been using random USB dongles (Ugreen, Essager, Orico), but all of them have minor stuttering issues. It’s constant and sounds like the audio is buffering, even when playing local files.

Recently, I bought an original Apple USB-C to 3.5mm adapter (purchased directly from their website) and plugged it into a USB-C port on my motherboard. Same issue — crackling and stuttering.

The weird part is that the Aiyima A2 works perfectly (it’s powered by a 5V charger). I’ve tried pretty much every tutorial I could find:

Tested all USB ports

Switched PCIe between Gen 3 and Gen 1

Disabled SVM

Disabled serial port

Changed sample rate/bit depth

Disabled XMP

Regenerated the USB port map (USBToolbox and USBMap)

Created a new EFI from scratch

Changed SMBIOS from MacPro7,1 to iMacPro1,1

Downgraded from Tahoe to Sequoia and even Monterey

Nothing changes.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I’m starting to think there might be some issue with Hackintosh USB implementation, but it’s really strange that only USB audio dongles are affected.

Try using the USBMap or USBPorts.kext to configure your USB ports. The USB SSDT would require a working USBInjectAll.kext, one that works with your AMD USB Controllers, which I don’t think exists.
