Hi All,

how are people finding the performance of Tahoe, I tried a new install of 26.3 and now 26.5 but i find the performance poor compared to Sequoia which is nice and snappy.

my main problem is slower graphics render times when new windows are opened and cant seem to get smooth 4k 60fps youtube playback in tahoe but fine in sequoia for some strange reason.

Tahoe expects an Apple ‘T2’ chip to be present, as only Intel systems that contain a’T2’ chip are supported in Tahoe. The ‘T2’ chip handles some of the graphics processing, along with the graphics card, so some loss of performance and some other issues should be expected.

The presence of the ‘T2’ chip is the main reason the Dortania Devs haven’t released a new version of OpenCore Legacy Patcher, one that works with Tahoe.
