yes you can but you need to update kext to latest version, and you have to use beta patch for Tahoe. also you need to dealt with FileVault before you update it to your main hack b/c Tahoe is automatically enable it.

Ok, thank you for your answer

I have downloaded all the latest version of the kext

Can you tell me where I can find the beta patch for Tahoe?

Look for Beta section.

Thank you.

I have updated almost all the kexts and copy the patch in the config.plist.

macOS Tahoe installation does start, there is this screen

I have attached the modified OpenCore folder

iMacPro1,1 SMIOS isn't supported in Tahoe. You need to use MacPro7,1 for the latest macOS release.

Hello,

I change SMBIOS to MacPro7,1.

The installer start but reboot quickly after these messages

Check you don’t have the iMacPro name specified in your USB kext or anywhere else.
Make sure you are using the latest releases of the kexts in your EFI.
That you have the latest AMD Kernel patches in your config.plist.
You may need to temporarily disable NootedRed.kext while running the installation of Tahoe.

Hello,

I have change the Mac model to MacBookPro16,4

I have downloaded and installed the latest kexts
I have removed the kexts that I think they are not mandatory

The list of the kexts I use :

AMDRyzenCPUPowerManagement.kext
NootedRed.kext
AmdTscSync.kext
RadeonSensor.kext
AppleIGC.kext
RestrictEvents.kext
AppleMCEReporterDisabler.kext
SMCAMDProcessor.kext
BrightnessKeys.kext
USBToolBox.kext
ECEnabler.kext
VirtualSMC.kext
FeatureUnlock.kext
VoodooI2C.kext
Lilu.kext
VoodooI2CHID.kext
NVMeFix.kext
VoodooPS2Controller.kext

I have the latest AMD Kernel patches in my config.plist

Now the USB installer starts until "validate_root_image", after there is the same error as before and it reboots

It is the same with and without NootedRed.kext

These kexts are not essential when installing macOS:
  • AMDRyzenCPUPowerManagement.kext
  • RadeonSensor.kext
  • SMCAMDProcessor.kext
  • USBToolBox.kext
USBToolBox.kext without UTBMap.kext does nothing for your USB ports.

Try using the USB installer in a different USB port. Preferably a USB 2.0 port if your laptop has one.

Hello,

Thank you for your help

I have deleted the kext that are not essential
I have tried on a different USB port. I have no USB 2 port

The USB installer starts until "validate_root_image", it stops but does not reboot.

It stops on this screen

  1. You need to add USBToolBox.kext to your /EFI/OC/Kexts folder and a companion entry to the config.plist, so your UTBMap.kext works.
  2. You should not have XhciPortLimit enabled if you have a custom USB config for your laptop, i.e. UTBMap.kext.
  3. While you have the latest AMD kernel patches in your config.plist, you do not have the CPU core count (8) set in any of the first four patches. Lacking the CPU core count is most likely the cause of your current KP.

Hello,

Thank you for your help.

How should I set theCPU core count?

If I set the forth patch to 8 :
<key>Count</key>
<integer>8</integer>

The installer reboot before "validate_root_image"
