I tried updating OC to 0.9.9, updated all necessary kexts, and then updated to Sonoma 14.4.1, but now I have Broadcom Wifi/Bluetooth/Aquantia 10G Ethernet stopped working.
Intel gigabit ethernet is the only thing currently working. I’ve seen posts removing kexts and then update, and then reapply kexts to get the wifi working but my understanding is that is for intel Wifi?
OC Legacy Patcher doesn’t seem to help either.

Has anyone ran into this issue? Specs are on my signature section.

Currently used Config.plist is attached

Update - Bluetooth is actually working. Wifi is not.

Bluetooth from a Broadcom card has always worked in Sonoma without any additional fixes, it is only the WiFi aspect that OCLP patches.

You need to be using the latest version of OCLP when running Sonoma 14.4 or newer. As a minimum OCLP v 1.4.2 is required.

Which set of patches are you using from @CaseySJ repository, Set 1 or Set 2?

If you updated OpenCore have you checked the kernel > Quirks > ForceAquantiaEthernet option is Enabled in your config.plist?

I have to check CaseySJ history on which set is used, but I’m assuming I used Set 2. I have tried patching OCLP 1.4.3 (Latest) multiple times with no success
Also, ForceAquantiaEthernet option has been enabled the whole time. (I’ve been editing existing config.plist to update OC with no failures so far)

Also cleaned up whole kernel patch section and tried Set 1 as well with no success

Update 1 - I had whole bunch of experimental patch remove dict and some legacy IOFamilykit kexts. Cleaning these up got Aquantia working again. However, latest OCLP still does not activate Wifi. I tried reverting root patches and patch again with no success.

Update 2 - Got WiFi back by installing whole bunch of more kexts incl. Amfipass, and then removing 0x80 boot arg.

Hi DarkSilentSC, can you tell me more precisely what you did to get Broadcom Wifi back? I have updated from macOS 14.2 to 14.6.1 and the Wifi does not work anymore. To be clear, it worked fine on 14.2.I have followed all the current advice including using the Amfipass kext instead of the boot arg. What version of macOS are you currently running, probably not 14.0, as it says in your signature. I have the BCM94360CD in the Fenvi T919 card.

You will need to run the latest OpenCore Legacy Patcher v 1.6.0 to get the Broadcom WiFi working. Including using the latest version of IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext, you are probably using version 1.0.0, you need to be using version 1.1.0 for the latest Sonoma release.

Thank you so much!

Wifi works again for me on 14.6.1, no other issues either.

I needed to update the IOSkywalkFamily.kext to 1.1.0,
I took it from here: https://github.com/dortania/OpenCor...ayloads/Kexts/Wifi/IOSkywalkFamily-v1.1.0.zip
Confusingly the 1.1.0 version of IOSkywalkFamily.kext shows version 1.0 in the Finder Info window, but was a different file to my old one.

I couldn't find the IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext in version 1.1.0, but that was not necessary, perhaps you mixed up the two kexts.

I use OpenCore Updater by mswgen, but that software does not know about IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext. I had used OpenCore Legacy Patcher v 1.6.0 to apply the root patch already, so it worked immediately after updating the kext. Also, I cleaned the NVRAM after the restart, I not sure if that was necessary.

Good to see you have your WiFi working.

Yes, I mixed up the two kexts.
