Thought it would be a good idea to post that the bios updates for the Sinkclose Vulnerability apparently are causing failure to boot. There are two users who have AM4 MSI boards we know of that have that issue. It looks like a kernel issue in that the error message states:

[EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START]

You may want to hold off on updating for the time being.

Shaneee suggested that anyone who wants to help better understand, and try can correct the issue, to consider uploading a ACPI dump before and after the bios update. You can do that in this thread here.

Danke. Hier schon mal mein ACPI-Dump.

As far as I know MSI is the only manufacturer so far to offer this patch,.I checked Asus' and AsRock's website for bios updates and the latest seems to be the update to support 9000 series processors. No Sinkclose Vulnerability patches.

Es ist nur eine Frage der Zeit. Bis es für alle kommt.

Man muss es selber abwägen, was einem wichtiger ist, Sicherheit oder macOS.

You have to decide for yourself what is more important to you, security or macOS.

good afternoon everyone, has anyone managed to solve this problem, even me with my MSI x570s carbon max wifi, I updated the bios to the latest version and now blocked at startup, and honestly it seems to be very important this Bios update precisely for the vulnerability of all. Thanks to everyone.

To contribute, please do as suggested in post #1 and post ACPI dumps of your board before and after the BIOS update.
We do not have your board and "blocked at startup" is NOT sufficient to understand what could be the issue.

good morning here is my dump that I used before updating the bios, now it crashes on startup see attached screen

Thanks, now the last piece: An ACPI dump after BIOS update (OpenCore DEBUG, Misc>SysReport:true)
BIOS updates can, and do, change ACPI tables.

for now I solved it by downgrading the Bios to the version that worked, waiting for something to be resolved, thanks everyone.

Hey
If it can help, I just attached acpi dump before and after the sinkclose bios update.
Captured from linux with
Code:
acpidump -b
I can confirm the update breaks macOS boot on my gigabyte b450 gaming x too.
Thanks guys

At first sight, I see nothing which could explain the breakage.
Code:
$ diff F67d_Sinkclose_fix/dsl/dsdt.dsl F67b_no_Sinkclose_fix/dsl/dsdt.dsl
