Hi everyone,

I’ve been trying to get macOS Sequoia running on my system for the past two weeks, but unfortunately, I’ve hit a wall.

My setup:
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X
  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX X870-F GAMING WIFI
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600

I’ve been working with both OpenCore-Simplify and various prebuilt EFI configurations I found on the forum. The furthest I got was using this configuration shared by master fabiosun : 🔗 Link to the post

Without any modifications, this EFI allowed me to get the furthest in the boot process — but now I’m stuck at a point I just can’t get past. I’ve tried multiple tweaks and approaches, but the issue persists.

I usually prefer solving things on my own and rarely ask for help, but this time I’m out of ideas and energy. I’d greatly appreciate any tips, advice, or insights.

Thanks in advance! 🙏

You have a couple of names in your SSDT’s that are wrong and can’t be found (G002) and (G027). You need to find which of the ACPI tables in your /EFI/OC/ACPI folder contains these two names and delete them/it from your OC setup.

Thank you for your message.
I feel completely powerless in this situation.

I disabled the SSDT-USBW.aml file in the configuration, which removed the (G002) and (G027) entries from the screenshots. Unfortunately, the loading still stops at exactly the same point.

The photos show the same screen from different angles.

Top line on these two screen images of the verbose text show you still have a suspect SSDT in your setup. I can’t tell which issue is causing the error, other there is an issue as stated in the message in the top line.

Do you have ‘Above 4G Decoding’ enabled in your Bios? This is the preferred option.
If not do you have npci=0x3000 boot argument present in your config.plist?

@rrysio6 those ACPI patches in your config.plist are done for your motherboard?
you should post to CorpGhost your DSDT on amd OSX discord server if those patches are not for your motherboard
Asus has 4G in its bios (you have to enable it)
More important is to use exact ACPI patches for you motherboard bios
