Here is a little problem,I was trying to install a Fenvi T919 and all was well until it came to using OCLP to patch it to help it work
OCLP had other ideas and it said it found 12.0.1 in the system version.plist but iam clearly on sequoia which is 15.4.1 (see attached photo)
So it basically saying I am on Monterrey (I think ). So last night I updated through macOs as it detected an update to 15.5.
All went smoothly but OCLP still says I am on Monterey even after over the air update. How do I change do I change the version it detects to what I am actually although I fear the answer may be a complete re-install.Most people with this problem it usually a case of them needing to update or stop an update but I can't seem to upgrade my system version.plist to allow me to patch.

I'm not sure where you are seeing Monterey but in the screen shot you uploaded it says it is Determining required patch set for Darwin 24 which is what Sequoia uses.

OCLP sees your system as requiring to finish an update. It won't proceed with the Root Patching while this is the case.

You may need to reboot the system, ClearNvram to get this message to stop showing when you run OCLP.

It telling me that it found system version 12.0.1 on my hakintosh but was expecting 15.4.1 which is sequoia and my system is already now updated to 15.5 so even when I updated it still said I was on 12.0.1

No one is saying you have to downgrade to 12.0.1. OCLP isn't required for Broadcom WiFi in Monterey.
  1. Which version of OCLP are you using?
    1. The latest release is v 2.4.0.
  2. Do you have all the necessary kexts, patches and SIP settings configured in your config.plist?
  3. Have you set SecureBootModel to Disabled?
  4. What system is this OCLP being run on, CPU, Motherboard, DGPU etc.
    1. Some information regarding your setup would be helpful as we are working blind at the moment.
    2. As would posting a copy of your EFI folder, with your Serial Number redacted/deleted from the config.plist.

If you read the posting “impossible to install sequoia on my Ryzentosh “ you will find my current EFI posted toward the bottom of the post as it was my first posting. Hope that helps.

Did a complete clean install of Sequoia and still get the same error as shown in the first post so here is the EFI
OCLP still expecting 12.0.1 SystemVersion.Plist but finding 15.5 so not letting me patch

I see a few issues in your OC config.plist.
Minor issues
  1. Misc > Debug > AppleDebug is set to Disabled/False, it should be set to Enabled/True
  2. Misc > Debug > Target is set to '67', unless you are wanting to collect a debug log, this should be set to '3'.
  3. NVRAM > Add > 7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82 > prev-lang:kb is blank, this should not be the case. As it can cause unnecessary issues during boot.

More serious issues.
  1. You are using an iMac19,2 SMBIOS with an AMD system that lacks an IGPU.
    1. You should be using either iMacPro1,1 or MacPro7,1 SMBIOS with your system.
  2. You are using AMFIPass.kext, so you don't need the -amfipassbeta boot argument in your config.plist. It should be removed.Screenshot 2025-05-25 at 21.25.41.png
I would recommend you deal with the SMBIOS issue as the more pressing item. But the others while minor should also be dealt with, as they may slow down and affect your system boot processes.

What was the result of your using the PurgePendingUpdate script?

Doesn’t mean the OS can’t get messed up, so it thinks an update is in process of being applied.

Have you tried a clean installation of Sequoia, as this is an alternative to running the script? Usie a spare disk so you keep your current setup with any data safe.
