I'm putting together my new budget build, a Gigabyte B450M DS3H WIFI, Ryzen 5 4600G, MSI AERO RX 560 4 GB, 32 GB RAM and not pictured a WD_BLK SN750, (with heat shield) and a FOCUS 750W PSU!. I tested the hardware and EFI a couple of weeks ago and booted to macOS Sequoia desktop, I had NootedRed disabled during installation, then enabled after signing in. Can I install both NootedRed and WEG, but enable WEG when I want video rom the RX 560, then enable Noot to get video from the motherboard?. My sanity needs checking before plugging in the G5 Front Panel to ATX Adapter.

Important things first, Rainbow Lian Lee Strimer working.

I've always liked Montereys desktop picture/screen saver and it goes really well with the rainbow strimer, perfect bling for the G5. Started this 5 1/2 hours ago and I love it.

Looks dope :D What you could do for switching between then if that's what you want to do is,

1: SSD EFI boots iGPU config.
2: USB with modified EFI to disable iGPU and run WEG/RX 560

That way it's just a bios key away to switch.

That's exactly what I was aiming for, 'Dope'!. I neglected to mention, (forgot), I don't have access to the HDMI port on the motherboard and would mean purchasing a right angled HDMI adapter, you can find them on Amazon for under $10. I didn't think it would ever work but the cycling strimer cable beats Apple Parks!.

Fair enough I suppose. My thinking is it's at the back out of sight :D

Which neatly brings me to my cpu cooling solution!. I'm using cooling pads which came with some NVMe packaging!. This picture was from a test on a low profile fan, currently using regular height fan with some pads from a WD_BLK SN850X box. That cooling pad was green, thinner and stickier than the blue one shown here. The 4600G will idle at mid 30's and hit high 60's while benching.

You can buy different quality thermal pads from Amazon and eBay. But you need to be careful that the pads have sufficient thermal cooling capability before using them on a CPU or as is more commonly the case a dGPU. Some products can have quite low thermal conductivity (6W/m-K) but look nearly identical to other better thermal pads.

I use these SYY Thermal Pads, in 0.5mm, 1.0mm and 1.5mm thickness for refurbishing dGPUs. Really good thermal conductivity 12.8W/m-K. Better than a lot of thermal paste.

The SYY-157 thermal paste (15.7W/m-K) is also very good and not too expensive.

Thanks for the links, so far I'm happy with the thermal pads I've used, but will likely look for replacements as I'm going to use the B550 motherboard, that way I can utilize my WD_BLK 1TB SN850X and a second NVMe slot.
