Ryzen 5 1600 AF
Hello everyone,

I’ve previously installed and used macOS (up to Tahoe) without any issues on a system with the following specs:

  • CPU: Ryzen 5 7600
    • Motherboard: A620M-K
  • RAM: 16GB DDR5
  • GPU: RX 570

Everything worked perfectly.

Now I’m trying to install macOS on a new system:

  • CPU: Ryzen 5 9600X
  • Motherboard: A620M H
  • RAM: 16 GB DDR5
  • GPU: RX 570

I created my own EFI and config.plist specifically for this build.

EFI
The installation starts normally I can format the drives and begin the setup without any problem.
However, I’m running into two main issues on the second stage of the installation:

🧩 Issue 1:

After the first reboot, the installer says “About 29 minutes remaining”, but even if I leave it for 4–5 hours, the timer eventually shows “0 minutes remaining” and nothing happens — it just stays stuck there.

⚠️ Issue 2:

After making small changes to the EFI folder, the installer gets to the second stage but then shows an “Update failed” message, and the system freezes completely.

If anyone has encountered this issue or knows what could be causing it, I’d really appreciate your help or suggestions.

Thanks in advance!
