CPU:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600H
📋 System Specs
  • Model: Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H
  • iGPU: AMD Radeon Vega 7 (Cezanne / Renoir) — via NootedRed
  • dGPU: NVIDIA RTX 3050 Ti — disabled via -wegnoegpu
  • Ethernet: Realtek RTL8111
  • WiFi: Realtek 8822CE
  • Audio: ALC287
  • Target OS: macOS Ventura 13.x / Sonoma 14.x
### ❌ Issue
Boot hangs at: <rt-gv> wake-failure

Screen freezes → fans ramp up → system eventually shuts down.
### ✅ What I've Already Done
  • BIOS Settings:
  • Secure Boot → Disabled
  • XHC1 → Disabled (per known Legion 5 fix)
  • PTT → Disabled
  • ASPM → Disabled
  • GPU Mode → Hybrid
  • Boot Mode → UEFI Only
  • Kernel Quirks:
  • IncreasePciBarSize = ✅ True
  • - Boot Args: ( -v keepsyms=1 npci=0x2000 slide=0 -vi2c-force-polling -wegnoegpu debug=0x100 )
  • - Kexts loaded:
  • - Lilu.kext
  • - VirtualSMC.kext
  • - NootedRed.kext v0.8.10 / v1.0.0 — tried both
  • - AppleALC.kext
  • - NVMeFix.kext
  • - AirportItlwm.kext
  • - VoodooI2C + VoodooI2CHID series
  • - BrightnessKeys.kext
  • - BlueToolFixup.kext
  • - RestrictEvents.kext

  • - EFI Base: ducviet5138 / kalkmann / Lunarixus Legion 5-15ACH6 builds- Attempted Fixes:- Disabled NootedRed during install → still hangs
  • Added gfxinitwait=1 → no change
  • - Multiple boot arg variations
  • - Reset NVRAM repeatedly
  • - Swapped USB ports / recreated installer
  • ### 🔍 What I Know
  • - My Vega 7 is Cezanne — supported only via NootedRed- Other Legion 5 15ACH6 + 5600H owners have this working- Discord reports suggest disabling NootedRed during install then re-enabling post-install — but I still hit wake-failure even with it disabled- The error points to iGPU power/initialization timing
  • ### ❓ What I Need Help With- Is there an additional ACPI patch or device-property specifically for Vega 7 on this exact motherboard?- Is there a different boot-arg or framebuffer fix I'm missing?- Could this be a specific BIOS version incompatibility?- Any known workaround or patched DSDT for _DSM / _PS0 methods on this laptop?Thank you — will provide logs/debug photos if needed!
