hey, I was curious if my laptop, a Lenovo IdeaPad 5 14are05 with a Ryzen 5 4500u, would be compatible for hackintosh, and what version would be best for me.

No, as you need a discrete GPU to run macOS on an AMD system.

There has been some development with WhateverRed, which aims to get macOS running on Ryzen APU's. But I don't know how far the development has progressed, or if it works.
