Hi,

I have successfully booted macOS 15.3.1 Sequoia, but my Ethernet connection keeps losing connection for about 30-60 seconds and comes back up for 5-15 seconds and then loses connection again, and so on. Already happened in recovery, so I had to use UnPlugged to get macOS even installed.

I have Asus B850i ROG STRIX motherboard, which to my research has I226-V Ethernet and thus I have added AppleIGC kext (tried with and without e1000=0 boot arg, same result). I have read this problem was happening even on Windows, but supposedly fixed with NVM version 2.22 (with some conflicting information mentioning version 2.25 onwards). My I226-V is on NVM version 2.23.

I have attached screenshot of ping google.com log, which illustrates the problem quite nicely.

I'd suggest having Console open when running the ping test so you can check for anything in the system log when the connection drops.
If there is anything noticable you'd be best opening a support ticket on the AppleIGC GitHub page to be honest.

Thank you, will try this. Supposedly could also be issue at I226-V Ethernet controller firmware level from what I have read and should be fixed in newer NVM versions by now.
Intel doesn't really seem to issue those updates to public though, so I try my luck and write to ASUS.. They have questionable reputation regarding customer support though. :D
